Competitiveness 竞争力 In the light of these aspects of her character, it would not be surprising were we to discover a considerable amount of competitiveness in Karen's personality. There were aspects of her behavior that were phallic and aggressive. She owned a large male German shepherd and delighted in parading him around the neighborhood, particularly when she would meet male friends whose dogs were nowhere nearly as impressive as hers. She also owned a big, high-powered, sports-model car and prided herself on her ability to drive hard and fast, like a man.
